I love this knife!

It does not look super fancy, but it has classic shape of the blade, excellent Buck quality( all previous issues with blade centering were fixed) and awesome price. This knife is not to impress somebody (although I like its apparency) but to work with it.

It seemed like this mixer only had one speed on any setting -- high. Too high for box cake mix, which is what I would usually use a hand mixer for.
Also, the beaters were very hard to release. I had to use a pot holder and push down hard. I used a pot holder because the beater release is also the speed control, and it is hard to push in on the end of a lever.

I was disappointed in this purchase. I was hoping for a mixer capable of handling non-gluten bread batters and other thick batters found in vintage cookbooks. This mixer started to smoke on the first try. The motor just didn't have the power dispite its 250-Watt rating. I'm back to mixing these batters by hand. I'm hoping that our few remaining American appliance companies will wake up and produce products the way they used to. This one may look the part, but I'll take my grandmother's hand mixer any day.

Used this for the first time today and it had some good features and a few not so great, but not deal breaker features. First the good.

The mixer came with a stainless steel bowl with a plastic lid. I'd guess it holds about about 5 or 6 quarts. Also a set (my last mixer only had one so this one does double duty)of whisks that attach to the mixer and a pair of small hooks for small dough batches and such, and lastly the beaters. The mixer has a good grip so you shouldn't need to worry about it slipping from your grasp and has several speeds and a power boost button. The mixer worked fine for mashing about 10-12 potatoes, average job it did, nothing special or amazing about the task that it performed. Also the bowl will hold all the attachments and the mixer for storage with the lid which is nice. The mixer feels comfortable, it actually feels much like holding a small hair dryer, not to heavy and was familiar. Something I'd like to make note of was when I attached the beaters they both snapped in nice and tight and I didn't have to worry they might pop out in the middle of my mixing job.

Things I noticed or didn't care for were while I was mashing/beating for about 5 minutes, within 30 seconds I smelled the motor had a slight burning odor, but my husband thought it was just the plastic and the first use so we will have to see. On the highest speed it didn't seem to do much better than the 3 speeds below it, but it got the job done. When I was finished I couldn't get the beaters off. I actually had to lay the mixer down and press the eject button with both thumbs really hard. It's nice to just be able to hit the button and drop them in the sink. Another negative is the beaters seem pretty cheap. Not sure how long they will last. I have a feeling they might bend easily or maybe even rust. Finally, the motor end is kind of exposed sticking up in the air while mixing so it could cause food to possibly fly up and get nto the motor.

Overall, it was about $30, but really it's nothing special. It compares to my last little mixer that was only like $10, but I guess because it came with the extra items that is what I'm paying for since the motor/power is small. It works and get's the job done so far, but it's only been used once by me so I guess the real test will be at xmas time baking and mixing everything.

These lights are literally the "talk of the town." I live on a street where people decorate outside - TONS of decorations. In fact, there is a HUGE lighted sign at the north end of our street that says "This way to Clark Griswold's House." His decorations are fabulous (he decorates front and back yard, house, and about 25 trees that are at least 35-40 ft. tall), and his lights draw hundreds and hundreds of people every year (and his house is 2 houses away from mine, across the street). Sometimes, it takes me 10-15 minutes to get into my driveway when I get home from work. (I'm not complaining - I'm glad people enjoy it!!)

So, this is my 2nd Christmas in the neighborhood, and I wanted to do something different. I saw these lights and HAD to try them, because I had never seen anything like them, ANYWHERE, before. I wanted the multi-colored strand, but they were sold out, so I bought a strand of each color and a white strand. They look unbelieveable: REALLY!!! I don't have a ton of lights at my house, so that makes the lawn lights look even more dramatic. I've had dozens of people ask me about them...and even "Clark Griswold" - my neighbor, had to come over and ask me about them: I was SO PROUD!!! They really are amazingly fantastic!
So if you're looking for something different, try these out: you won't be sorry. One thing, though, it took me much longer than 15-30 minutes per strand to put out (it took me about and hour - but it was absolutely worth it). I'm not complaining, at all, but just thought it was fair to let the future buyers know that if they are looking for something super-duper quick, maybe these aren't for you.

One more thing, I was worried about what they would look like during the day, but you REALLY can't see them unless you are right at the edge of the yard: they blend in extremely well with the grass (I live in IL, and we haven't had snow this year...yet). I can't wait to see what they look like when we get a little snow!

Synopsis: Easy, yes; quick, not really; gorgeous and unique, absolutely! And it beats having to get up on the ladder and crawl around on the roof!! A definite MUST HAVE!! If I had more yard, I would get more...hmmm...maybe I will decorate the side yard next year.... :-) Happy Holidays!

P.S. To the folks who make these lights: I would buy them in more colors if available like purple, yellow, pink, etc. GREAT PRODUCT!! Thanks!

I was initially disappointed when I set up these lights, they did not look very impressive. Wait until dark!! I bougth 4 sets of the multi color morphing lights...they are amazing!! I have quite a large yard display and these are so much easier and more impressive than the normal c7's that I usually stake around the grass. Every time we pull up to the house, my husband comments on how much he likes them!!

Small and efficient tool. Will pay for itself after two jobs that have a average number of hangers. One good thing is that Paslode makes nails that work in this gun also, so you don't have to use Bostitch only. It doesn't like the cold though, but overall very satisfied.

I'm a remodeling contractor and I was looking for a cost effective way to not spend my life hand-nailing joist hangers. I bought this gun and have used it extensively in the short time that I've owned it. It fits into small spaces, just as advertised, and is very easy to use, just as advertised. The only thing is that it takes a little time to get used to how you need to position the gun to depress the nose enough to get it to fire. (It's a little different than most nailers since the nails actually stick out). This is a great tool and if all you need to do is shoot 1 1/2" nails, this is the way to go. It pays for itself on the first big deck you do!

This is not the best 180 degree mirror. I purchased a better one for the same price at Brookstone some time ago (they no longer carry it). It's wide angle view is distorted and cars have to be right on top of you (too close for comfort). I find myself constantly looking at the side view mirrors for a better perspective.

It is a large mirror but difficult to use. I could not get it adjusted correctly until my German Shepherd accidentally hit it with her head. Now it works on the passenger side, but does not work well on the driver's left. I suspect I will only use this awhile and then take it down. It gets in the way of the passenger side sun visor.

Kind of pricey, but appears made well.

There is only one way to describe this device: Amazing. I have gone from running a giant dual opteron 10 hard drive server consuming 300W to a 30W Synology DS411j.

The box has amazing features which were unexpected. Mail server, print server, smb, nfs, web server, etc. The types of services you would expect to find on larger servers. The UI makes everything incredibly easy to configure. It also has the ability to ssh into the box (a nice feature for those of us who still use shells) and has a communuty ipkg repository which easily installs hundreds of your typical GNU apps that you would use apt or rpm for.

Transfer speeds are good over gbit: Typically over 50MB/s or faster. The unit uses md for its raid (software raid) which costs CPU overhead. I think it would have been better to have dedicated CPUs for hard drives and services but then it would cost more than $350.

Unfortunately the system has a huge drawback with the CPU and RAM. The CPU is only a 1.2GHz ARMv5. The RAM (which is the real crippling part of the hardware) is limited to 128MB. For people expecting more than 20 users to access this this unit at once: pay more for a faster one (a Synology with a + in its Model). It is marketed where it is supposed to be. The unit has enough hardware to run a simple server at home with limited users or a small office, again, with limited users.

Overall if you want a server for the home, dorm, classroom, or small office you won't find anything better for the price. It is worth it if you are expecting only 20 users at a time to access it.

I guess for those that were able to get this up and running it is a nice unit. But when I tried to install it, I was unsucessful. One screen showed "system ready" and the next screen "system busy". Unfortunately, the "system busy" never changed. When I tried to contact Synology for support I got an online form to fill out. I filled out the form and clicked "Submit" Well, that didn't work -- I got a message that "the fields highlighted are incorrect or missing". Funny, since nothing was highlighted. I tried changing a few items, but the form would still not submit. That left me unable to get any support.

At that point, I decided to return the item to Amazon. I figured that even if I could finally get it working, I did not want to deal with their technical support down the road.

I don't know what rating "Ease of Use", "Funtionality", and "Accessibily" should get since the unit never operated for me.

I've owned this DiskStation for about 5 months. Its my first purchase of a "file server" and we got it to have more available and protected storage for our family photos, videos and backup storage for several computers in the house. I'll pass along my experiences and advice.

At first I thought this purchase was going to be the start of a nightmare. Unit arrived DOA. All connections, power adapter, etc. were fine. Requested an RMA and as I was packing the unit up for return noticed a ribbon cable between the front plate and motherboard was askew. Well why not give it a try? Removed enough screws to get the front face off and reseated the ribbon cable. That looked promising, so I reassembled all the hard drives, cabled it up and whew - its worked fine ever since.

I had bought 4 WD 2TB drives to go into it, formatted it up with RAID5, carved it up into several volumes and started putting data onto it. The 8TB formatted down to 5.36TB with RAID5. I plugged in an old 250GB drive into the USB port and backed up the most critical of the files (photos). This thing runs silent. What a dream compared to the Windoze PC I have (and I will NEVER buy another Windoze PC again).

Performance seems to be a bit slow compared to what I expected - about 11MB/s at best. But if I do the math, that is about as much as a 100Mbs ethernet can really be expected to do. Nevertheless, its more than enough to stream HD videos straight to my internet ready TV.

DSM (the management software) is pretty good. Could really benefit from a good usability rewrite as many of the icons and options are in wierd places, but the documentation is very thorough and easy to search. Synology web site is straightforward and downloads of docs and other software is easy. There are lots of features, most of which I have yet to use. I have run the iTunes server, email notification, PhotoStation and a few others. I love the fact that Synology has apps that let you access it unit via an iPhone and I have them installed but have not yet configured the system to get through my home firewall/router.

Fast forward 5 months. Used the email notification feature to get status messages sent to my personal account and one day, got notified of an I/O error on drive 2. That was worrisome. Everything seemed to be working ok though. Then the errors became more frequent and I started to panic. I checked the backup only to discover that the backup drive had filled up. So I grabbed another old USB drive and started copying all the new stuff not yet backed up to that drive. Halfway through that process, drive 2 failed completely. But - as it is supposed to - RAID5 worked. Volume showed in the interface as degraded (working as designed). Note - when volumes are degraded, the unit seems to take a LONG time to boot up - 5-10 min or more. Be patient - let the machine do its job. Also, MANY times the unit would not respond quickly or reliably to admin web page requests - keep trying. After 3 or 4 timeouts and failed attempts, mine started working (not sure why).

So I ordered 2 more drives (same model), opened the case, replaced the failed drive 2, restarted the box (it says you can hot-swap while the unit is running - I was not so adventerous as to try this...) and followed the directions in the manual to repair the volume. As I write this, that process is nearly complete and appears to be going perfectly well.

I read a lot of other reviews where people get a drive error, panic then start pulling drives and reformatting stuff. Do not do this. I admit - I got a drive error and I panic'd. Fortunately, I did not start pulling drives right away, but rather read about it and started copying off files to back them up. RAID is nice, but its not foolproof.

If you are like me, DSM is something you will interact with a lot as you are setting it up, then almost never unless there is a problem (hopefully never or months later). Would be better if it was organized a bit better - e.g. "Troubleshooting" (which does not exist) in a very prominent place. Status reports too. As it is, these features a buried a couple of layers deep. Only searching the DSM manual helped.

So here are the lessons I learned -
1) As others have said, if you are going to store important files (e.g. family photos or videos
or anything you value) THEN HAVE A BACKUP SYSTEM IN PLACE. I will NEVER run without a backup again.
2) Don't panic if you see a drive error. Read and follow directions.

Would I buy a DiskStation again? Yes. Had my unit not arrived DOA and the DSM interface not been quite so cryptic for startup, shutdown, status and troubleshooting, I would have rated it 5 stars. Check back in a year...

We have this pack and absolutely love it! We got it when our son was about 6 months old and now he is over 2. He enjoyes it very much, and the pack is sturdy, and you can easily put a child in it without anyone else around. You put the pack on the couch with the kickstand open, put child in, put the pack on your back, and then close the kickstand piece. Very easy, safe and fun. My husband and I both use it, the straps are easily adjustable. We use it around the house to do chores with him on our back, use it outside for walks and more.

After some preliminary research online I purchased one of these Smart Support backpacks for walking around town. After assembling it and putting my 6 month old in it some glaring issues became apparent. While light and simple, the Chicco is flimsy and the straps were simply badly designed. The straps for the baby clip in the base of the seat and so are hard to reach and adjust with the baby in it, and they are inadequate for keeping him from flopping around even when completely cinched. He wasn't going to fall out, but he could shift his weight easily, which made the pack unstable while on, and if he fell asleep there was not much to keep him in place. Also, my frame is tall and thin and it was not the backpack straps did not tighten enough to create a comfortable and secure fit, so the pack sagged while he was in it. The next day I found a Kelty TC 2.0 at REI for less money that was infinitely better designed. The Kelty has a base that can stand on it's own, it has actual backpack pockets that are roomy, and most importantly the straps for the baby and the wearer are well designed, well padded, easy to use, supportive and he can fall asleep comfortably - like he did today! Skip the Chicco, it just isn't worth it.

I have thick hair and this stuff holds pretty well. You don't have to use a lot so it lasts a long time. If you do use a lot, though, it will give your hair a hardened look/feel.

The smell is not bad, but I've smelled better. It's definitely worth a shot if you're looking for a good hair product.

I just bought this item on Oct. 16th from Beauty Bonanza. They delivered it immediately! Great service. However the manufacturer, located in Gardena, CA does not offer good customer service at all! Not only were they short and dismissive when I wrote to them, but they refuse to allow me to register the product for warranty because Amazon is not an authorized seller. So, I just spent $135 (plus $5 shipping) and I can't register it, so I now have no warranty. I think their policy is horrible! Everyone orders stuff online, so why wouldn't you honor the warranty if the product is new?! If I have a registration card, it's NEW! If it was used someone else would have already filled out the registration. I loved the T3-- this is the second one I've bought. I bought the first one online, too, but no one ever contacted me to say the registration was no good because I bought it on Amazon. I am so turned off by the attitude of the manufacturer, that despite how much I love this product, I would be reluctant to purchase it again. I'm sure there are comparable substitutes.

If you're considering buying one here on Amazon, I'm sure you'll love it, but do check with the seller first and be sure that they are "authorized" or you may be disappointed if your product needs repair-- it won't be covered.

This is possibly the best flat iron I have ever come in contact with. The price might seem a bit steep, but if you have stubborn hair, this product is SO worth the money. I have thick, curly hair and have been trying to find a quality flat iron for quite some time. This is it. I literally only have to go over a section of hair ONCE (this has NEVER happened to me with other irons), which has cut my average straightening time in half. It works just as well, if not better, on towel-dried hair. You get the same pin-straight results, and the steam really seems to make my hair softer and shinier. The wet-to-dry technology itself cuts out the need for a blow-dryer.

Cosmetically, the product is very well manufactured; you can tell it's a professional flat iron. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. It even has a row of rhinestones on the handle which I love. The cord swivels, which is great, and it has a velcro strip attached to it like most laptop cords do, allowing you to easily fold the cord up for when you're not using it. The product also comes with a little heat-resistant mat that protects your counters from the iron's heat.

The T3 ManeTamer is a fantastic product; it impressed me after just opening the box. It works great, and most importantly makes my hair LOOK great. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants perfect, effortless pin-straight hair... FAST.

Bought this from Amazon after reading the generally positive reviews. I had borrowed a Scott's to use before getting this one and it was definitely harder to push and didn't broadcast as wide a swath. The Earthway works well spreading milorganite. Only thing to watch is that you have to shut the lever off if you stop for any reason--or the fertilizer will keep pouring through the holes onto the ground below! Other than that it is easy to use on rough ground (the big wheels make a difference, as stated by others) and it carries a full hopper of 35 lbs easily.

Works great. Easy to use, spreads evenly and covers a large area in a short amount of time. Bought this to replace using a commercial spreader I had to wait my turn to borrow.

Ive used this once heres my take:
It comes very well packaged and delivery was quick. It required little to no assembly. The big tires are very helpful when spreading on tall grass. My main complaint is that the title is misleading. It reads 80 lb spreader. I put a 40 LB bag of fertilizer in the bucket and it completely filled so I dont know how they would expect you to fit 80lbs? Other then the capacity glitch it was a good purchase.
